Statistical information

The following two graphs contain data as to the number of civil aviation accidents and incidents that have occurred in Spain and which have been investigated by the CIAIAC (Civil Aviation Accidents and Incidents Investigation Commission) since 1990, as well as the number of persons who have died or suffered serious injuries as a result.

The first graph shows the total number of incidents involving airplanes and helicopters. The second graph only shows incidents involving helicopters.

From 1990 to 2008, the CIAIAC has investigated a total of 1270 incidents, which have caused 551 deaths (88 of these in helicopter accidents) and 244 with serious injuries (62 of these in helicopter accidents).

Also enclosed is a graph with ULM accidents that have taken place in Spain since 2004 and which the CIAIAC has knowledge of.
